What's in a name?
So, how many people in the world could possibly bear my name? It is a rather individual name, is it not? Is it, then, any big surprise that the name of yours truly has run through the thick, mire of politics? It is to me.
This woman who married into my last name (I am cursed with quite a common first name) has destroyed it. What disgusting things she's done all for the sake of personal gain and now, when I Google myself, only she comes up. Does any of my accomplishments in writing and photography come up? No, no, no. It's all about this woman and the crooked dealings of her and her husband. It doesn't help matters that her husband has the same first name as my Grandfather and Uncle. And here they are destroying the credibility of DragonWrites!
Obviously, I am not posting my real last name here for the point of this blog is not to have folks delve into the darkness to search out this horrendous fact of evil that dirties my lovely name. I am warning those reading this of the dangers of giving your offspring common first names, if nothing else. We can't very well give out different last names but the originality of first names will give your child an advantage over things like this.
I have decided that I will change the spelling of my first name, so as not to offend my parents. Jul Lee or Jewelle Leigh are the two highest choice right now. We'll see what happens.
So, what's in a name? Obviously enough to destroy a life that is innocent of all wrongdoing.
